How to Update Your Email Address on Khan Academy

Welcome to Alpha School! We want to make sure you have the correct email address associated with your Khan Academy account. Follow these easy steps to update it:

1. Log in: Go to the Khan Academy website and log in to your account using your username and password.
2. Access Settings: Once logged in, look at the top-right corner of the page. Do you see your name? Click on it, and then select Settings.
   
3. Linked Accounts: In the Settings section, you will find a category called Linked Accounts. Click on Connect Google within this section.
   
   1. If this option doesn't exist for you, it is due to your age on the app.
   2. In this case, please scroll down to where it says "Parent/Guardian email" and add temporary.parent@alpha.school as your parent's email.
   3. After doing that, please contact our Support Team so we can associate your account with a parent account and change your password for you.
4. Verification: For security purposes, you'll need to enter your Khan Academy password again.
   
5. Update Email: Scroll down and find the large button that says Continue with Google. Click it.
   • This button might not appear. Conitnue with the other steps if this happens.
6. Select Email: A new window will open. Choose the email address that ends with @alpha.school.
   
   • If prompted, enter your email address and password for verification.
7. Success: If you see a message saying "You can now log in with your Google account," congratulations! You've successfully updated your email address.
   
   • If you encounter any issues or receive an error message, don't worry. Make a note of the error, and contact our Support Team for assistance.
